A Code to Tree

To enforce a code
on me, that you
have trouble with as well

hypocrisy

to burn the leaves
of a pretty tree
and still say you deserve her

ignorance

To stand by and let you do
your foolish little dance

Painful

But its is your tree
and dance as well
And I, do honor codes.

I forgive for what she can't
but will never do this again

One spark, or singe and I step in
and I release the tree
with me she'll grow
and see the sun
And never fear my touch
Because I, do honor codes

Even in the simplest plain
there is green against the grey

a smear, or rip, smudge, or ripple
dances on its own

these little things, imperfections
some say
are the tales you find in books

For most are grey
in this homogenous day and age

to many fear the other way
plan "B" just isn't safe

With crayon in hand forget the lines
just close the eyes and sketch
Don't hide the art
but let it shine
and live on everyday

Between Bend and Break

Set sail on your hopeless ship

with unbroken glass and half a crew

then you'll know, you've learned first hand

to swim, and freeze, and hurt, and cry

but to also take it all in stride

Find that piont between bend and break

and never let it go

this is were the progressions lie

and the stars write notes across the sky

The cookie tells of what's true to do

 no garbled confusing mess

and The ticking clock brings the gifts at last

granting wishes from the past

No longer blind, you take the world, your wish

and hold her by the hand

Keep her close - no sands of time

can untie the little knot

now thank the stars, the script, the clock

for what you've finally got

a theory isnt fact until the right people believe

but of those others with different piont of views

whos ideas are thrown aside by the power of the few

all the hearts that beat a little differently

or the minds whos wheeles turn the other way

arent real in smaller circles

but i fight for those who never could

and speak for those who never would

write for those whose hands wont write

and see the those who have no light

i walk for those who dont

and dance for those who wont

everyone is has their facts

no one said they had to be yours

A face in the mist

from the clear blue water fall

with the stars in her eyes and moon in her hair

watches you swim

but doesn't come to meet you

so you swim with that ever-fervent stroke

and splash like an idiot until your body aches

and you waste a day away

morrow comes to show her face

in her beautifully wavy frame

to give something to do with a life you've thrown away
